FIAF & IFM Talk - Tribute to Virgil Abloh
In collaboration with the Alliance Française in New-York, the IFM Alumni USA team with Marie Laurence de Chaunac is very pleased to invite us to take part in or follow online an exceptional evening in Tribute to Virgil Abloh.
This Thursday, November 17, Claude Grunitzky, founder of TRACE magazine and TRUE Africa, will moderate a conversation between Faye Mcleod, LVMH's Director of Visual Image, Ansel Thompson, LVMH's Artistic Director, and curator Matthew Yokobosky about Virgil Abloh's influence on the fashion industryand beyond.
Drawing inspiration from music, art, pop culture and design,Abloh has collaborated with artists like Jay-Z and Takashi Murakami, and brands like Nike and Mercedes Benz. A champion of streetwear, Abloh integrated a younger, urban style into the luxury world. One year after his tragic death, we remember Abloh's legacy as the iconic founder of Off-White and creative director of Louis Vuitton's men's collection.
The evening will conclude with a cocktail reception. The new edition of the book "Louis Vuitton: Virgil Abloh (Assouline, September 2022) will be on display at the reception for guests to review.
IFM alumni have access to the "FIAF member tickets" special price ($24)
