.Dear Alumnis, We invite you to join a private visit of the new MAD Exhibition on the saturday 25th of january . We will start at 10h30 for a very special visit . The visit will took place in french. See you there ! The IFM Alumni Team The Musée des Arts Décoratifs, in partnership with the Chancellerie des universités de Paris, will dedicate an exhibition to the Marchesa Arconati Visconti (1840-1923), a figurehead and patron of French museums and educational institutions. Marquise Arconati Visconti, Femme Libre et Mécène d’Exception, recounts the exceptional biography of the heiress, who went on to inherit one of the largest Italian fortunes; bequeathing works of significant importance including, paintings, sculptures, furniture, objets d’art, jewelry and ceramics – to French museums and in particular to the Musée des Arts Décoratifs. One hundred works from successive donations, along with archival documents, are displayed by the museum in its permanent collections, bearing witness to the Marchesa’s boundless engagement and passion for the decorative arts. Her interests lay in the arts of the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the arts of the 18th and 19thcenturies, and Asian and Islamic art.
