We are beginning a new cycle of Live Talks of the Leather & Accessories group by inviting Ramesh Nair (IFM 2001 Master of Arts in Fashion Design) to exchange with us around his experience as Artistic Director at major luxury houses for more than 20 years.
It was almost by chance that Ramesh came into fashion. Practicing drawing since childhood, the desire to study a field that allowed him to express himself creatively led him to enroll, in the late 1980s, in a branch newly opened in New Delhi of FIT New York.
A chance encounter that marks the birth of a journey in which he fully expresses his sensitivity for sensual luxury, precise gesture, beautiful material and simple forms.
With a track record that led him to work under the aegis of Yohji Yamamoto, Christian Lacroix, then, for eleven years, as Senior Designer alongside Martin Margiela then Jean-Paul Gaultier at Hermès, First of all, Ramesh Nair established itself thanks to clothing.

It is at the request of Bernard Arnault that he takes, from 2008 to 2020, the Artistic Direction of Moynat, beautiful sleeping of the malleterie for more than 45 years, that he will awaken by establishing a creative dialogue between his vision of the brand and artisans with exceptional know-how.
